Libby Bennett ~ Sarasota, Florida

From sculpting on the beach with her husband and children to competing in the local contest on Siesta Key with sculpting partner and good friend Lara Hines, Libby has been sandsculpting for 10 years. This will be her first year sculpting solo.

John Corning ~ Fort Myers Beach, Florida

John Corning is a professional musician, commercial software developer, proletarian sand sculptor, and author of this condensed biography, originally composed on the back of a bar napkin at the delightful Pincher's Crab Shack at the Holiday Inn on Fort Myers Beach, where friendly service, yummy food, and reasonable prices keep the locals coming back for more. Never one to flatter the sponsors of an event for fear of inadvertantly biasing the results, John nevertheless urges all beach newcomers to check out this marvelous beachside bistro. And while you're down at this end of the beach, John says to be sure to reserve some "quality time" at the ever popular Tiki Bar at the Outrigger Beach Resort, where the drinks and good times are always flowing!
